The Vac-Alert VA-2000S is a safety vacuum release system (SVRS) designed for submerged suction pool and spa circulation. It is intended for applications where the pump suction is more than 24 inches below the water surface and is recommended for commercial pools with continuously running submerged pumps. The unit provides controlled air admission and a check valve arrangement to dissipate dynamic suction forces and reduce suction hazards in submerged installations.
