The Hayward sand pool filter S144T1540S is a top-mount sand filter system in the ProSeries line, bundled with a pump and valve for above-ground residential pools. The S144T1540S operates at a 40 GPM flow rate and provides 1 square foot of effective filtration area through a 14-inch tank. This is a complete system — filter, pump, and valve ship together, reducing the need to source components separately.
Hayward's ProSeries top-mount configuration places the multiport valve on top of the tank for straightforward access to filter functions. The 14-inch tank diameter keeps the overall footprint compact relative to larger sand filters in the ProSeries lineup. Sand filtration uses #20 silica sand as the media, which is not included and must be purchased separately.
